This paper proposes a reading of six poems by Elkin Restrepo included in his bookRetrato de artistas, from an inquiry about the way the mass culture comes to constitute itself as an aesthetic object. To this end, some considerations are done about the lyrical biographical sketch as a form that synthesizes an aesthetic proposal supported on a revaluation of topics, expressions and forms of everyday discourse.
