La metáfora en el siglo XX: dos maneras de interpretar el concepto

Resumo

El objetivo de este artículo es resumir, a través del análisis de las fuentes teóricas principales, el desarrollo de dos tradiciones en la interpretación de la metáfora. Simbólicamente las podemos denominar: 1) Visión formalista, centrada en la descripción de los rasgos de la metáfora, su estructura formal y las funciones que desempeña en un texto o un discurso; y 2) Visión pragmática y cognitiva que propone comprender la metáfora en relación con la situación comunicativa, mostrando también su papel como una de las cadenas básicas del pensamiento humano
