Resumo

A leucemia mieloide aguda é uma doença que afeta uma das linhas celulares não linfóides a partir da medula óssea. Este caso foi encontrado em numa fêmea de dois anos de idade da raça Poodle, com plano de vacinação vigente e castrada. Esta fêmea tinha sido diagnosticada e tratada para Erlichia canis com doxiciclina e esteróides. Este caso foi apresentado ao Centro de veterinária y zootecnia da Universidade CES (Medellín, Colombia), porque apresentou vômitos, febre e decadência. Durante o tratamento foram realizados hemogramas seriais, coprologico, química sanguínea e sorologia por ELISA para a Erlichia canis (cujo resultado foi negativo em duas ocasiões). Após uma avaliação de hemograma serial foi sugerido um aspirado de medula óssea com uma suspeita de mielodisplasia. Com o consentimento dos proprietários foi realizada a eutanásia e depois de ter sido tomada foi imediatamente realizada a aspiração a medular, que resultou em leucemia mieloide aguda. O objetivo deste manuscrito é documentar este caso para a sua importância clínica e rara apresentação
