Conciliation as conflict resolution

Conciliation as dispute settlement mechanism applied intersubjective Colombian legal system, is an alternative means of administration of justice and an effective instrument for the decongestion of court offices, while one of the possibilities for Colombian society rethink the values that built and interactional dynamics of those who participate to encourage the assumption of new attitudes that favor peaceful coexistence. From the descriptive analytical methodology was able to detect that level of government policy was implemented as the approach of citizens to justice, which has led to establish a national conciliation in equity and restorative justice practices and the creation of Houses of Justice. At the institutional level the creation of centers of conciliation in law. A level of performance was made compulsory conciliation and extra-procedural requirement, resulting in more cases reconciled.

Estudios de Derecho is governed by the following regulation: Political Constitution of Colombia, article 61; Law 23 of 1982, articles 1 and 2; Law 44 of 1993, chapter II, article 6 and chapter IV, article 51; Law 599 of 2000 through which the Penal Code is issued, articles 270, 271 and 272.
