Actual tendences of restorer justice

Abstract

The articlegives a report ofsome new experiencesrelatedto "mediation-reparation' between the victim and the infractor, in the context of actual tendences of restorer justice. Likewise talks about the origin of this forrn of justice, its characteristic notes, the difficulties and tensions that involve the principies that inspire it, the theoretical critics and empírical evaluations made of the characteristics and programs that concrete ir, and the minimum conditions that should gather those restorer justice programs to achieve such name. Finally, the text defends the -positive- values ofthis form ofjustice and claims for a discusión about in witch cases is possible; but it also takes notice about the risk of the institutional and social indifference about the subject, of the resistance to every new experience, and extension of penal system.
