No es común encontrar colombianos profesionales de la educación exitosos en otros campos del conocimiento que no sean la enseñanza. Pero en los últimos años, en Estados Unidos, por ejemplo, hay un reconocimiento a la calidad en el desempeño de algunos. Es el caso de la antioqueña Mónica Claudia Cardona Aguirre, egresada de la Licenciatura en Geografía e Historia de la Facultad de Educación y de la maestría en Ciencias Ambientales de nuestra universidad, a quien dedicamos este espacio de Uni-pluri/versidad como una forma de reconocer su profesionalismo y sus logros en la empresa Florida Power & Light, de Florida, Estados Unidos.
