This citation index is also known as ISI because in the beginning the institution that produced the index was the Institute for Scientific Information, Institute for Scientific Information (ISI).

It is considered one of the largest databases of scientific, technical, and medical literature currently available. Scopus is produced by Elsevier and contains millions of records of scientific journal articles, conferences, books, and patents. As such, Scopus provides detailed information on articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including abstracts, citations, bibliographic references, and impact metrics. Scopus also provides search and analysis tools to help researchers discover and assess scientific literature, track citations, identify trends and collaborators, and assess the impact of research.

It’s a bibliometric indicator that assesses the importance and prestige of scientific journals based on their impact and visibility in the academic community. SJR is a measure developed by Scimago Lab, a research group affiliated with the University of Granada, Spain. The SJR indicator is based on the PageRank algorithm, used by Google to rank the relevance of web pages in its search results. SJR uses information from the Scopus database to calculate the impact of scientific journals, considering not only the number of citations received by the articles published in a journal, but also the importance of the citations from other high-prestige journals.

 

Scholar Google Scholar
It is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. Released in beta in November 2004, the Google Scholar index includes peer-reviewed online academic journals and books, conference papers, theses and dissertations, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, and other scholarly literature, including court opinions and patents.
