Teaching practices of the teachers in the area physical education, recreation and sport
This paper aims to show the results of two investigations in the Educational Institutions and Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera César Negret Velasco of the City of Popayán, Colombia, in order to contribute to the characterization of teaching practices in the area of Physical Education, Recreation and Sport in the city.
Investigations of these results were grouped taking into account pre-established categories for collecting, organizing and analyzing data, which in the opinion of the investigators report stages of design, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational processes, as a first phase which seeks to contribute to macro-called participatory construction of a competency-based curriculum design for the area of Physical Education, Recreation and Sport in the city of Popayán. These investigations were conducted from design to final reporting, between 2006 and 2008. The findings reveal that allowed teaching practices related to the area are oriented to sports, from the perspectives of health and competition.
