Tactics and Subjectivity: Case study of a Cuban Paralympic Judoka

The proposal developed in this article aims to constitute the tactical action as a subjective configuration of sportive experience, from a singular and dynamic perspective. Based on the theory of subjectivity and qualitative epistemology of González Rey, an alternative approach was developed in the analysis of experiences of failure in competition, which allowed highlighting the importance of procedural work in a type of research that seeks to build an explanatory theoretical model in permanent development. The quality condition of the expression of C, a Cuban Paralympic judoka who lives with a visual disability, was the essential aspect for the study of two specific combat situations; one at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and the other at Toronto 2016 Parapan American Games. These situations, in a dialogical and emotional communication relationship, allowed explaining how singularity generates intelligibility about the sportive experience. The intention was to elaborate an interpretation of the sports experience from the subjective organization that emerges in the course of unsuccessful sports action. The discussion advances into the possibility of conceptualizing tactical preparation as a complex space, where subjectivity stands as an explanatory possibility of sportive experience.
