This discussion focuses on two Colombian novels: Los ejércitos (2006) by Evelio Rosero and Los derrotados (2012) by Pablo Montoya. Taking into account all the procedures needed to structure a text to be articulated as a significant object, are considered the fundamental characteristics of the representation of the Gorgona, its frontality and monstrosity, as allegorical potency of the beheading practiced by criminal groups. Each narrative invents a symbolization of the violence that means the thought about radical evil of contemporary man, at the same time it constitute in space of reflection to resist that same evil.
