In the present article, the philological analysis of the editions of the novel Aire de tango (1973) by the Colombian writer Manuel Mejía Vallejo is exposed. This study is made from the theoretical-methodological approach of textual criticism and thus, exposes the process of the critical edition of the novel in question in one of its initial stages: the recensio and the examinatio. In this way, a description of the editions used in the collatio, an analysis of the types of variants found in this philological process and a brief analysis of the reception of the novel that complements the proposed philological study will be presented.
