Michael Sandel acaba de publicar su libro titulado Justice en la editorial Albin Michel, en la colección dirigida por Pauline Colonna d’Istria. Esta obra ha sido traducida del inglés al francés por Patrick Savidan. Conviene recordar que Sandel se formó en la Universidad Brandeis en Massachusetts antes de realizar una tesis doctoral en la Universidad de Oxford bajo la dirección de Charles Taylor. Actualmente es catedrático en la Universidad de Harvard donde imparte, entre otras materias, la asignatura de filosofía política titula “Justicia”. En ella, presenta los principales textos filosóficos dedicados a la justicia y se interesa por las controversias jurídicas y políticas contemporáneas que suscitan interrogaciones filosóficas (p. 395). Sandel pertenece a la corriente “comunitarista” que ha desarrollado una crítica de la Teoría de la justicia de Rawls (2006). Entre sus obras más relevantes traducidas al castellano figuran El liberalismo y los límites de la justicia (2000), Filosofía pública. Ensayos sobre moral en política (2008) o, más recientemente, Lo que el dinero no puede comprar: los límites morales del mercado (2013).
