Los accidentes de trabajo constituyen el mayor problema de salud para la población trabajadora. Las lesiones por accidente de trabajo causan un importante impacto a la persona, a la empresa y a la sociedad en su conjunto, como consecuencia del ausentismo laboral, la pérdida de productividad, los costos sanitarios, prestaciones económicas y los gastos de administración.
