About the Journal

• The Revista Facultad Nacional de Salud Pública is edited by the "Héctor Abad Gómez" Facultad Nacional de Salud Pública [National School of Public Health] of the University of Antioquia.

  Its objective is to promote and disseminate work in all fields of public health, encouraging the recognition of thought collectives in public health, the culture of scientifically based communication, with a genuine respect for the other and the advancement of knowledge towards improving the living conditions of the population.

  The target audience consists of public health specialists, health workers and those interested in public health.

  The Journal is an international scientific publication, published every four months (January, May, September) and distributed electronically, in the fields of local and global public health.

  Language: Spanish or English. The abstract is published in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

  Types of papers published: Only original papers are published in the following styles: communication of scientific research or technological development, essay, topic review, systematic review or meta-analysis, literature review, letters to the editor.

Three issues are published per year (January, May, September). However, from 2020 the continuous publication of the approved version of the articles is welcomed in order to allow timely consultation and citation by the academic community.

The frequency of publication of the thematic supplements is defined by the Editorial Committee.

The "Héctor Abad Gómez" National School of Public Health of the University of Antioquia sponsors and funds the Revista Facultad Nacional de Salud Pública.

It has the support of the Vice-Rector's Office for Research of the University of Antioquia

The Revista de la Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública was founded in 1974, published every six months. From 1981 it was renamed to Revista Facultad Nacional de Salud Pública, after the change of name of the "Héctor Abad Gómez” Facultad Nacional de Salud Pública (National School of Public Health) of the University of Antioquia, the institution in charge of its publication.
