Las tecnologías concernientes al aprovechamiento de la energía solar térmica permiten, ahora, ofrecer mucho más que el simple calentamiento de agua para uso doméstico. El presente artículo muestra algunas aplicaciones de sistemas solares que pueden brindar nuevas alternativas en procesos de calentamiento para muchos y variados requerimientos ya sean agrícolas o industriales, por ejemplo para el secado de cosechas; para la potabilización de agua, al destruir contaminantes presentes en ella, y para la fabricación de materiales avanzados, entre otros.Downloads
