Design of a Semantic Dictionary of Spanish Causative Verbs (Diverce)

In this article we describe and theorize the design of the lexicographic project Diccionario semántico de verbos causativos del español (Diverce). In this sense, we expose the underlying semantic theory and characterize the most essential aspects of the dictionary, as well as the pre-lexicographic stage of selection of lemmas and their semantic analysis, including the treatment of polysemy. Likewise, we characterize the lexicographic work itself, which includes a description of the database, both of the macrostructure (access routes to information) and of the microstructure (entries, definitions and examples). Finally, we conclude by highlighting the importance and usefulness of the project.
