Abstract

Sangre (2021), la nueva novela del escritor cubano Alexis Díaz-Pimienta (La Habana, 1966), presenta un párrafo inicial que funciona como epígrafe y parece inscribirse en un capítulo de la historia reciente de España, con las cifras de las mujeres víctimas de violencia familiar. Y este epígrafe es un llamado a integrar la ficción de la novela en la realidad española; es decir, a mirar los episodios de ficción que trae la obra como una parte de la vida de la España de los últimos años. Las cifras exactas de 1 028 mujeres asesinadas desde el año 2003 hasta el 2019, se convierten en una estadística que reafirma el sentido de una denuncia, esta vez hecha desde la literatura.

Consuelo Posada Giraldo, University of Antioquia

Retired professor from the University of Antioquia (Colombia). Master in Literary Studies from the University of Urbino (Italy). In teaching, she has always worked in literature courses at the undergraduate and Master's levels in Literary Studies. She was also an active researcher, with publications supported and recognized by Minciencias. She was awarded two international research grants and the last one allowed her to work for six months in the search for materials on pliegos de cordel in the Archive of Seville.
