La presente entrega de Lingüística y Literatura inaugura su contenido expresan-do un profundo agradecimiento al doctor Mario Martín Botero García, quien durante los últimos diez años estuvo a cargo de la dirección de la revista. Durante la gestión del profesor Botero, Lingüística y Literatura se consolidó como un espacio de intercambio académico en las dos áreas que han sido su razón de ser desde su fundación en 1979. Además, se enfrentó a los retos impuestos a la investigación y la divulgación en humanidades, derivados de las cambiantes políticas institucionales, nacionales e internacionales. La nueva dirección de la revista se compromete tanto a mantener la calidad editorial lograda por la anterior dirección, como a avanzar en las estrategias de divulgación y visibilización de sus contenidos.
