La investigación de la lectura digital en L2 para criticar y resumir: la influencia de la capacidad de la memoria de trabajo y del propósito de lectura en el uso de estrategias

Resumo

Se investigó la construcción de significado y la generación de inferencias por lectores con memoria de trabajo de corto y largo alcance. Los participantes leyeron textos digitales en inglés para criticarlos y resumirlos. Luego, se sometieron a una prueba de amplitud lectora, protocolo verbal y tareas de poslectura. El grupo de corto alcance informó la falta de comprensión en ambas condiciones y un resultado significativo de correlación moderada entre el tiempo de lectura y leer para resumir. Ambos grupos produjeron más comentarios metacognitivos al leer hipertextos para resumir y encontraron estrategias para satisfacer las demandas del hipertexto no lineal.

Leonilda Procailo, Universidad Estatal del Centro Oeste

Doctora en Estudios de Lengua por la Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina, Brasil (2017). Obtuvo su Maestría en Linguística de la Universidad Federal de Paraná, Brasil (2007), con especialización en lengua portuguesa (1991) y en inglés (1994) de la misma universidad. Procailo trabaja actualmente como profesor adjunto en la Universidad Estatal del Centro-Oeste - UNICENTRO (Brasil). Tiene experiencia en la enseñanza del portugués y del inglés en escuelas primarias y universitarias. Sus principales áreas de investigación son: lectura en L2 (lectura y alfabetización digital; estrategias y procesos inferenciales) metodología de enseñanza del idioma inglés, y educación del profesorado. 

Lêda Maria Braga Tomitch, Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina

Profesora de tiempo completo en el Departamento de Lenguas Extranjeras y Literatura de la Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina (Brasil). Tiene una Maestría (1988) y un Doctorado (1995) en Lingüística Aplicada-Inglés de la misma universidad. Ha sido becaria visitante en el Centro de Imágenes Cognitivas del Cerebro en la Universidad Carnegie Mellon, Estados Unidos (1999-2000) y en el Centro de Investigación en Neurociencia Cognitiva de la Universidad de Auckland, Nueva Zelanda (2018). Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la relación entre la capacidad de memoria de trabajo y la comprensión de la lectura; la implementación de procesos de lectura en el cerebro; y la instrucción de lectura.
