Abstract

This chapter explores the contributions that contract law, both general and special, can make to social, environmental and economic sustainability. For this purpose, and in the absence of precedents in Colombian law, we search in some international instruments, in regulations and foreign doctrine, the advances made in this matter, we make a description of them and analyze the way in which they can be applied in Colombian law, reaching the conclusion that there are many contributions that contract law can make to sustainable development without the need to create new legal norms for this purpose.
