Por honrosa y comprometedora designación de mis compañeros de la Junta Directiva me dirijo a ustedes en este acto solemne en que la Academia Antioqueña de Historia rinde un tributo de filial reconocimiento y de inmensa gratitud a nuestra Universidad de Antioquia, Alma Máter de los estudios superiores en nuestro Departamento.
