Abstract

This article presents some current tendencies in art education research, with the intention of establishing connections with art teachers’ education, and a special focus on Arts Education Research, as a way of connecting its methods with the methods of art production.The goal is to find ways to transform the perception and analysis of both teaching and pedagogical thinking, with contributions from art production.The article closes with a brief description of the activities carried out with students taking the Pedagogical Anthropology class of the Fine Arts Undergra-duate Program at Universidad de Antioquia’s School of Arts during two academic terms: 2011-1 and 2012-1.

Silvana Andrea Mejía Echeverri, University of Antioquia

Master in Education and Bachelor in Education: Plastic Arts from the University of Antioquia. Professor of Artistic and Cultural Education of the Municipality of Bello, Antioquia and Professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Antioquia. Member of the FORMAPH research group.
