Abstract

This work derives from the initiative of a couple of teachers,concerned about the social realities that involve their students and by the teaching, a bit out of context, which takes place in the educational institutions where they work.The paper shows a possible alternative to the problematic situations studied, so that, using existing material at a called “cátedra municipal” (CityHall class); where television programs are produced for the local channel.During this televised classes several aspects of the district are studied, and reflections are made onsocial problems that affect them. Itmust be recognized that theprograms are developed with the active participation of students and they are the ones who do the preliminary investigation and the presentation of each program.
