Nanotecnología, aplicaciones en embalajes para alimentos y productos farmacéuticos

En este trabajo se presenta una revisión de la gran influencia que está teniendo la nanotecnología en los últimos años en todas las áreas del conocimiento. Esta influencia se debe principalmente a cambios sustanciales en los materiales obtenidos mediante esta tecnología, lo que la ha llevado a una muy rápida aplicación industrial. Uno de sus principales usos, que presenta una alta inversión de capital por parte de los gobiernos, se da en la industria de embalajes para alimentos y productos farmacéuticos, debido, entre otros factores, a la posibilidad de utilizar nano-sensores, que al ser combinados con el embalaje, permiten que éste comunique al consumidor/productor, y en ocasiones controle, características del material embalado como: calidad microbiológica, condiciones de almacenamiento (humedad, temperatura, luz, etc.) tratamiento tiempo-temperatura, tiempo de exposición del producto, entre otras.Downloads
