DETERMINACIONES AMBIENTALES DE PLOMO INORGANICO EN LA FABRICA DE BATERIAS DE MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA, "FABA" Y EFECTOS EN LOS TRABAJADORES EXPUESTOS.
Abstract
From a formal point of view, the present investigation was designed with the classic concept of Occupational Health that places the worker in his work environment, exposed to certain risk factors, that is to say, placing him in a Technical-Administrative situation. In this way, on the one hand, any connection between the workplace and the socioeconomic structure is ignored and, on the other, the conditions under which work is organized, such as production times and rhythms, heavy work and long working hours, are considered irrelevant.
These environmental factors impose a heavy physiological burden on workers, which results in deterioration and premature aging, as well as fatigue and predisposition to disease.
Our conception of work and the problems of the working class is different: we are aware that occupational hazards do not occur independently of capitalist industry and. The effects of risks on the exposed population, for a better understanding of the health of the working population, we understand them essentially as the concrete expression of social antagonisms and contradictions.
