INCIDENCIA Y CAUSA DE FLEBITIS POR VENOCLISSIS EN PACIENTES PEDIATRICOS
Abstract
The incidence of phlebitis due to venoclysis in the pediatric services of the H.U.S.V.P. (Hospital Universitario San Vicente de Paúl) increases every day without knowing the reality of the problem. This situation interferes directly in the patient's recovery, affecting both their physical and emotional aspect, due to the prolongation of hospitalization. It also increases treatment costs.
In view of the above and aware of the multi-causality of the problem, the present study attempts to define it, identifying the possible risks and causal agents of phlebitis with a view to developing preventive measures.
