SUICIDIO EN MEDELLIN
Abstract
Despite the increase in activities and people involved in the study and research of suicide, this problem remains one of the most intriguing for the professional mental health worker; it continues to be a serious public health problem, multiplying in number of unnecessary deaths, especially those considered premature, tragic, a real waste of effort, and affecting the mental health of the community through the imprint they leave on the survivors. Due to various cultural attitudes, the extent of the problem is still ignored, affecting research and data on suicide to an as yet unspecified degree.
