ESTUDIOS EPIDEMIOLOGICOS EXPERIMENTALES O DE INTERVENCION
Abstract
The experimental or intervention epidemiological study is a methodological procedure in which a group of individuals or clusters have been randomly divided into a study group and a control or control group, and analyzed with respect to some risk factor or preventive measure to be studied or its effects evaluated.
It differs from analytical epidemiological studies in the sense that the groups are manipulated by the researcher and randomly divided into a study group and a control group.
When it comes to establishing a program, the study group will receive the program and the control group will receive a program alternative or no program.
At the beginning of the study, each individual or cluster will have the same probability of belonging to the study group or the control group.
