PAPEL DEL ASISTENTE ADMINISTRATIVO DE SERVICIOS DE SALUD EN COLOMBIA Y SU CAPACITACION
Abstract
This paper presents some ideas brought by the authors to the Continuing Education Seminar for Health Services Administrative Assistants in Florence, through which aspects related to the evolution of training for this type of personnel at the National School of Public Health of the University of Antioquia are highlighted, as well as their training in the light of Latin American and Colombian policies and taking into account the personnel needs estimated globally through recent studies on health institutions in Colombia and in accordance with personnel location and distribution standards, the current deficit and the gaps to be covered from the point of view of their academic training.
On the other hand, the functions that this type of health personnel performs or should perform are identified, which makes it possible to clearly define educational objectives that feed training programs in this field.
