Abstract

The World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology and The World Federation of Parasitology recommended a uniform terminology to denominate animal parasitic diseases. It Is useful for the effective utilization of computerized data retrieval services. The name of the disease is composed by the suffix os/s added to the root of the name of the parasite taxon, formed by the nominative of the scientific name. A list of correct names of the main parasitic diseases is presented.
