Abstract

In this paper emphasis is given to some surgical aspects of AIDS’ patients such as the role of the surgeon in the diagnosis and treatment of the syndrome and its complications. Besides, information is presented on 12 patients with AIDS who underwent surgical procedures at San Vicente de Paul University Hospital, In Medellín, Colombia, between 1985 and 1990.
