As outlined in these lines, the author attempts to show how it is assumed and gets develop the process of conciliation at the Conciliation Center “Luis Fernando Vélez Vélez” of the University of Antioquia, from what was found and analyzed in the research involved in this article and so from the understanding of this process from the perspective and personal knowledge of conciliators, and from their type of approach in treating conflicts, as a third party, when they implement such knowledge in real life.

Estudios de Derecho is governed by the following regulation: Political Constitution of Colombia, article 61; Law 23 of 1982, articles 1 and 2; Law 44 of 1993, chapter II, article 6 and chapter IV, article 51; Law 599 of 2000 through which the Penal Code is issued, articles 270, 271 and 272.
