Sociolegal study about the tutela in Antioquia supreme court

This article set forth the outcome ofthe research project "Sociolegal Study About the Tutela in the Antioquian Supreme Courts, 1992-2000", specifically the case of the Supreme Court ofAntioquia.1t is a descriptive depiction which gives account ofthree main topics. Firstly, the shaping ofthe social conflicts that frequently bring about the use of"tutela". Secondly, the features of the decisions taken by the Supreme Court of Antioquia. Finally, the relationships among frequent conflicts and the sentences. The writing calls attention, in one hand, on the lack ofreflection about the conflicts related to the use oftutela, and on the other hand, on the tension between social expectations and the achieved outcomes.

Estudios de Derecho is governed by the following regulation: Political Constitution of Colombia, article 61; Law 23 of 1982, articles 1 and 2; Law 44 of 1993, chapter II, article 6 and chapter IV, article 51; Law 599 of 2000 through which the Penal Code is issued, articles 270, 271 and 272.
