Abstract

Más estudiantes han aspirado a la educación superior en los países con ingresos medios, donde las matrículas para la educación terciaria han aumentado en 77% en el último decenio. Estas cifras deben compararse con el aumento de 43% en los países ricos, según un nuevo estudio realizado por la UNESCO (Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y  la Cultura) y la Organización de Cooperación y Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE), titulado Education Trends in Perspective - Analysis of the World Education  Indicators (Perspectiva de las Tendencias de la Educación - Análisis de los Indicadores de la Educación Mundial), el estudio analiza la demanda de distintos niveles de educación desde la educación primaria hasta la  terciaria entre 1995 y 2003 y analiza los criterios y preferencias de 19 países con ingresos medios participantes en el Programa Mundial relativo a los Indicadores de la Educación (WEI) de la UNESCO y la OCDE...
