La investigación en pregrado y la meta de aprender a escribir

Cada primavera, entre el marchitamiento
de las azaleas y la florescencia de las
rosas, nuestra Universidad separa un
día para que los estudiantes hagan sus presentaciones.
Alrededor de un centenar de nuestros
mejores estudiantes presentan los resultados de
sus investigaciones en una variedad de disciplinas.
En este año los tópicos variaron desde
“La poesía de Octavio Paz” hasta “El efecto de
los prelanzamientos en las rutinas del baloncesto”.
Las presentaciones son la culminación
de meses de trabajo de los estudiantes y los
profesores, en trabajo conjunto, en cursos dirigidos
de investigación; estos cursos proveen
una oportunidad para que los estudiantes apliquen
las habilidades desarrolladas a través de
su experiencia de pregrado.
