Social Responsibilities in the Environmental Management Plan of Paramo Santa Inés

It is a synthesis of the Environmental Managment Plan to Paramo Santa Ines and introduces the commitment Valle de Aburra inhabitants must have with the Paramo because the system of forests and Paramos Altoandinos in the northwest provides 60% of the water they use. Besides the existence of paramos at 3000 msnm it’s extremely important to the people from Belmira, Entrerríos San José de la Montaña, San Andrés de Cuerquia, Sabanalarga, Liborina and Olaya because of the restrictions over their soil. It also propose some alternatives of sustained management of the ecosystem and some actions that governmental institutions as Area Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá -AMVA, Administration Public del Municipal de Medellin, Gobernación de Antioquia, mine companies, diary /meat, beverage companies and ordinary consumers have to assume.
