Educar: Combatir el miedo estructiral de la sociedad actual

En este artículo se proponen alternativas, desde lo social y educativo, para combatir el miedo estructural en la sociedad actual. Para ello se presentan de forma sucinta algunas conceptualizaciones sobre la naturaleza del miedo, los miedos más comunes y sobre la forma como se utiliza políticamente el miedo. Se presentan algunas alternativas como son mejorar la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos, ridiculizar el miedo y usar el pensamiento contra él, dándoles un papel activo a los intelectuales en la construcción social del poder y la política. Además se propone educar para combatir el miedo, a través de currículos con problemas contextualizados que permitan la fabricación hermenéutica y crítica de los significados, den protagonismo a la acción, a la experiencia y a la historia, y recuperen la utopía y la solidaridad como motivación idónea para el fortalecimiento de la democracia y de sus valores.
