Discovery journal is a research tool that aims at giving place to subjectivity in the process of building a thesis under the premise desire has a space. The purpose is that the subjective component of surprise might participate in the production of creative possibilities when tackling a research issue. But there are always some obstacles, especially when there is the intention of giving a place to the subject in the field of the research work, where any participation of the subjective tends to be rejected and to be taken as an intrusion or interference that would alter the results to the degree of a serious distortion.
