Information included in this work was collected, on the one hand, by means of a survey exploring the following items: migration, health, education, housing conditions, home economy, employment and family income. On the other hand, information about the way in which ethnicity and gender articulate with mechanisms of oppression outside and inside the home of the Indigenous migrant women, was obtained by means of direct observation and ethnographic interviews. This research was conducted in the valleys of Maneadero and San Quintín, Baja California, México, and it was sponsored by the Instituto de la Mujer del Ayuntamiento de Ensenada and the Comisión Nacional para el Desarrollo de los Pueblos Indígenas
