Los ejemplares coleccionados en el transcurso de esta exploración han sido debidamente catalogados y ordenados en el herbario del colegio San José. Duplicados de la gran mayoría han sido depositados en el Herbario Nacional de Bogotá actualmente bajo la dirección del ilustrado botánico R.P. Lorenzo Uribe S. J.
La colección de plantas fue hecha por R. H. Augusto en compañía del suscrito;al R. H. Augusto se debe una buena parte del éxito de la de la excursión debido a sus cualidades científicas y de incansable explorador, profesor en esos días del colegio de San José, lo es actualmente del Colegio Pío XII de Salamina
