La magia del libro es que aparece en el momento en que debe hacerlo. Para las disciplinas sociales no existe propiamente un libro actualizado como tal. En esta área del saber, la aparición del libro es lo que importa, porque ahí se encuentra un problema de conocimiento que se quiere descifrar. Para ejemplificar lo expresado, hay quienes rebuscan en fuentes históricas una historia que se reactualiza para hablar de la misma historia, hay quienes aún siguen discutiendo las enarboladas discusiones de Platón y Aristóteles, de los cuales no tenemos versiones corregidas y aumentadas, y siguen siendo autores de obras de actualidad. Por lo tanto, no hay libro añejo, ni libro nuevo, tan sólo existe el poder del saber en el milagro de la aparición de un libro, porque lo que interesa es la importancia del problema que nos inquiere.
