Se describen algunos elementos de la culura material de los indígenas del Vaupés, la mayoría de los cuales se convirtieron en objetos mercadeables en el ámbito internacional. La producción artesanal clásica ha sido de cestería, cerámica, maderas y tejidos. El texto recoge aspectos técnicos y sociales de la producción.
