Notas sobre un relato de curanderismo de la gente de Murui

En base al relato "La copa de los espíritus del bosque", del cual se hace una síntesis y se retoman distintos fragmentos, el autor hace su análisis hablando del sincretismo religioso de los indígenas Murui y Muinanes, merced a la presencia aculturadora cristiana. Se sumerge luego en la batalla de Juvenal, indígena Murui y relator, contra la enfermedad. La enfermedad es un enemigo social y cósmico. Viaja entonces el relator y el investigador reconociendo elementos de la sociedad de la cultura Murui-Muinane, que les sirven para contextualizar etnográficamente el ambiente secular y sagrado del hecho curativo.
La palabra se evidencia como la fuente del poder y del saber, y el principal elemento de curación.
