The dossier addresses the challenges and tensions of mediation in social research, emphasizing participatory methodologies, the positioning of researchers, and the affective implications of fieldwork. It reflects on the importance of mediation in contexts of violence and inequality, where the body and emotions are key elements in the mediation between researchers and communities. The examined research explores how decolonial, feminist, and anti-racist approaches offer new perspectives in social research.
