El Dr. Javier Arango Ferrer, distinguido médico y hombre de letras, fue por varios años diplomático de Colombia; es un gran crítico de arte, autor de varias obras literarias y un asiduo cultivador del americanismo, especialmente en el estudio de nuestras culturas autóctonas. Estos atributos le señalan con preponderancia en la cultura de nuestro país y le hacen acreedor a la estimación de sus coterráneos.
