As políticas governamentais diante à evolução do fenômeno migratório na África do Sul: os períodos do apartheid e post apartheid

Resumo

A África do Sul é um dos países mais desenvolvidos do continente africano, pelo que se tornou em um foco de atração de migrantes tanto da África como de outros lugares do mundo. O estudo de seu processo histórico e migratório evidencia uma importante fonte de análise para diversas disciplinas das ciências sociais. O presente artigo se focaliza em uma breve análise das políticas governamentais adotadas pelo governo do apartheid (1948-1994) e o post apartheid diante ao fenômeno migratório (1994-2016). Parte-se da análise dos instrumentos governamentais (leis e mecanismos recrutadores) e do tipo de migrantes (mão de obra qualificada e não qualificada) que caracterizam cada período. Sobretudo, põe-se ênfase na contribuição do governo atual de Jacob Zuma à solução da problemática.
