Borders and boundaries: transnationalism and the nation-state (Fronteiras e limites: transnacionalismo e estado-nação)

Resumo. O projeto de globalização causou a fragmentação ou a reformulação do Estado-nação, principalmente em relação aos seus níveis de autonomia e soberania nas esferas de regulamentação social, política e econômica. Com sua compreensão do espaço-tempo e da integração econômica global progressiva, a globalização também trouxe consigo um aumento no movimento de pessoas e mercadorias.
