Abstract

The teleological approach to nature is attacked over and over again. Although our main purpose will not be to test a defense of teleology, we will try to show that disregarding the explanation for final causes is not as easy as it may seem at first glance. In short, we will argue that teleology is not a permitted or outdated concept, but rather a valid way of thinking for science and philosophy.
