Relationship between maternal care and complications in newborns and infants among pregnant adolescents affiliated with the subsidized health regime in the ESE Metrosalud

Si bien las políticas e intervenciones en salud sexual y reproductiva han tenido impacto en la disminución de las tasas de fecundidad, no han tenido el impacto esperado en la disminución de estas tasas en las adolescentes. En el periodo 2005-2010 la tasa de fecundidad a nivel mundial estuvo por los 52,6 por mil adolescentes entre los 15 y 19 años, para África fue de 103,9 por mil (África sahariana 127 por mil), para Asia fue de 39,7 por mil, para Europa fue de 14,7 por mil, para América Latina y el Caribe fue de 76,2 por mil para el mismo rango de edad. Según la Encuesta Nacional de Demografía y Salud 2005, a nivel nacional la tasa de fecundidad fue de 90/1.000 adolescentes entre los 15 y los 19 años y para la ciudad de Medellín fue de 86/1.000 adolescentes† entre estas mismas edades.
