Abstract

El Virus de la Hepatitis B (VHB) es un problema de salud pública a nivel global. La infección crónica por VHB es un factor de riesgo para el desarrollo de hepatopatías terminales como cirrosis y/o Carcinoma Hepatocelular (CHC) (1). La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) estima 257 millones de personas con infección crónica por VHB y 887.000 muertes al año relacionadas con este virus (1).
